Vitus has announced the release of their latest offering, the Venon EVO, a bike designed to transition seamlessly between gravel and road. The Venon EVO brings in elements from Vitus's high-performance road bikes while accommodating larger tires of up to 45mm for diverse terrains.

The Venon EVO is available in two variations: the EVO-GR and the EVO-RS. Both models share the same frame but are equipped with different components to suit riders’ preferences. The EVO-GR features components suited for gravel riding, while the EVO-RS is equipped with traditional road-specific components. With an option to switch between two sets of wheels, riders can adapt the bike to suit various surfaces.

"The Venon EVO is designed for riders who appreciate versatility in their cycling experience. It caters to roadies who enjoy occasional gravel paths, gravel riders who sometimes switch to tarmac, and everyone in between," Vitus explained. The company views the Venon EVO as a ‘one bike, two wheelsets’ situation, with one set designed for road and the other for gravel, allowing riders to make a choice based on their daily requirements.

A part of Vitus's EVO family, the Venon EVO is a high-performance all-road bike that focuses on speed and efficiency. The design of the bike draws inspiration from other models in the EVO lineup. The front of the Venon EVO features aerodynamic tube shapes and integrated cable routing influenced by the ZX-1 EVO aero road bike. Meanwhile, the rear borrows from the Vitesse EVO, with dropped seatstays and a flexible carbon fiber layup for extra comfort on rough surfaces.

"Versatility, capability, and speed should not all be mutually exclusive. The Venon EVO is Vitus’ answer to these demands," according to the company's statement on the bike's design philosophy. With the rapid expansion of gravel racing and riding, the demand for bikes that blend gravel versatility with high-performance road efficiency has grown. The Venon EVO is Vitus's response to this demand, landing squarely in the emerging all-road category.

The Venon EVO accommodates chunky tires up to 45mm and offers solid mud clearance. The geometry of the bike aims at a balance between road and gravel, giving riders an optimal position for power and aerodynamics, while also ensuring comfort for long rides on unpredictable roads.
